The Dutch Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1991, is an independent international business association, representing Dutch or Dutch-related companies of all sizes and individuals that have a stake in developing trade in, with, or through Hong Kong.
What the chamber is
It is a member-driven, non-profit, non-governmental organisation of business people, and sustains itself through membership subscriptions, advertisements and events.
The Chamber has over 130 companies as member ranging from global market leading multinationals, SMEs and startups.
The Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong can be seen as a more exclusive business club, which organizes events to create a network platform for its members.

In Hong Kong, it is not obligatory to register your company with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

The Dutch Chamber participates in the International Business Committee, chaired by the Chief Secretary of HKSAR. This unique Committee provides four times a year a face to face forum between the Government, representatives from international chambers of commerce and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce on matters affecting the business environment and perceptions of Hong Kong.
Furthermore the Dutch Chamber is also a member of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, comprised of the 15 European Chambers based in Hong Kong and 1 in Macau.
The Dutch Chamber’s dynamic platform serves to facilitate business in Hong Kong, Greater China and Asia-Pacific region for its members by providing networking, knowledge sharing and company profiling opportunities. The Chamber is also an active member of InterCham, the informal association of international chambers in Hong Kong, InterSME and InterWomen committee.

Three staff
We are a very small organization with only 3 staff members, and do not employ trade consultants. However, we are more than happy to help you with finding the right contacts in Hong Kong.
What it publishes
Our magazine is distributed to +/- 700 businesses and individuals in Hong Kong, and accordingly is a useful tool to gain exposure for your business.
The Dutch Chamber publishes an annual business directory with all members details as well as an online annually updated guide on how to set-up a business in Hong Kong.
Every year, we publish a business directory in hard copy and in soft copy with the details of all the members of the Dutch Chamber. This guide is only available for Dutch Chamber members.
In 2024, we transitioned to a weekly newsletter: The Business Talk. Delivered to your inbox every Wednesday, Business Talk brings you the latest updates from the Dutch Chamber, upcoming events on our calendar, a featured article with one of our members and essential business and policy news.

Until 2024, we published our popular DutchCham Magazine. The magazine is an interesting and easy-to-read publication dedicated to the business community. It featured a range of informative articles on Hong Kong, Mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Netherlands.
